Abstract

On behalf of the ISETH 2017 organizing committee, I am honored and pleased to welcome you to the 3rd International Conference on Science, Technology, and humanity (ISETH) in conjunction with the 4th International Conference on Engineering, Technology and Industrial Application (ICETIA) and Simposium Nasional Rekayasa Aplikasi dan Perancangan Industri (RAPI) ke-16 at AliLa Hotel Solo, Indonesia. We have been working with Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur to organize this conference.
The 3rd ISETH conference topic is “The power of social media: guiding changes for better future”. Social media nowadays have a very significant role in shaping the world; thus the power of social media has to be used for guiding changes for a better future. This third conference of the series, ISETH 2017 welcomes brand new ideas dedicated to the fields of technology, science and humanity as a contribution to establish a better future through the power of social media. We have 33 papers to be presented, organized as a set of tracks in Technology for humanity; Health and human welfare; Science for humanity; and Humanity and social sciences.
We are honored to have Assoc. Prof. Abdul Razak Ahmad, Ph.D. of National Defence University of Malaysia as our keynote speaker. I would like to thank our partner Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur, whose systematic work has built up this network and brought people here to share their works and ideas on the related issues to this conference. We gratefully acknowledge the keynote speaker as well as participants who contribute ideas to be presented in this conference. We also appreciate and thankful for the support of all committee members who have been tirelessly working to make this conference happen.
Finally, I hope that you will find the conference both enjoyable and valuable, and also enjoy the cultural and natural beauty of Solo.
