Abstract

Education is a systematic process to improve human dignity holistically. Education is inseparable from the teaching and learning process. The teaching and learning process has many influencing factors, including the quality of human resources and infrastructure. Human resources in this case are the teacher is the main agent in carrying out learning activities in the classroom. Failure in the exam is associated with the teacher's didactic strategies, resources within the institution, learning strategies, and failure to understand lesson instructions. Therefore, there needs to be an activity that can provide increase teacher skills in developing learning. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of lesson study in thematic learning that can improve the skills of teachers in elementary schools. Descriptive quantitative research method. The results of the study, 1) teachers use lesson study stages which include plan, do, see with the criteria for each stage being good, and 2) teacher skills in developing thematic learning in elementary school have increased by 6.25%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of lesson studies in elementary schools can improve the skills of teachers in thematic learning in elementary schools.
